The "Show Off Your Calipers" Thread
I was quite impressed myself. But i have a Black Awd Sedan, and im currently on silver 350z 35th anniversary rims. I plan on buying my summer rims by May, so ill have to decide on what color would go best with the calipers. Im also in the process of doing an all chrome delete on the exterior? You got any ideas for rims, i noticed your the rim expert on here. Lol
What is the average cost to get calipers painted?
No time for the DIY, local dealer does the service, but from what they explained, you set it up through parts, then they prepare it and follow-up when it's ready. Then they just swap them out.
For those that aren't DIYers, is that what you experienced, or is it some long, drawn out process where they customize your existing calipers? I can't imagine that being the case since I would imagine it would take a while for the paint to dry.
Thanks, and sorry for the noobiness

I want to bring this back from the "DEAD". To answer ROGERSMITH from what I have seen your are looking at around 400 to do the calipers. Since they get baked the calipers need to have anything removed from them that will not survive the 400 degree temps of the baking process. So You can bet you will have to rebuild them after you get them. I will be getting mine done and I am shopping for what color to get so I have been going thru this thread.
Thanks for the response. So ~$400 is what I'm reading for the painted calipers. To clarify, is that estimate just for the process of painting the calipers, or the entire labor process of dismantling, prep, paint, and reinstall?
Give him a call, he's done hundreds of them and will give you all the price details, also has a big gallery of his work
