It was a fairly easy install. The kit comes with foam padding so when the plate is activated it hits the foam. I wouldn't drive with the plate on, as I always have. I got a ticket while parked one day, so I am only planning on using it when I park on city streets. It seems pretty sturdy, I guess I will see once I start driving it.

I was telling my dad about this. He's like "that's nothing new, we used to have those, except they ran off your vacuum lines." haha
This is super picky, but when you get a chance, you should get your touch up paint and put a quick coat on the front of the bracket so the black bracket will blend in when its retracted. It's picky, but clearly you are too, cause the ride is super clean!
