Just wanted to share with everyone. I stopped by my local dealer today because they called me to tell me that their first 2011 G37 Coupes arrived at the dealership today. By the time I got off of work it was dark and raining but I thought that I would go ahead and shoot some pictures anyways. I'll try and find some time to go by tomorrow and shoot some in the daylight.

The coupe in the picture is a Journey Coupe with the Sport Wheels option. It appears that the new non-sport gets the 2010 sport bumper with added foglights. They did not get any G37S Coupes in yet so I will keep you posted and add pictures when I find one to photograph.

imo the fogs look like they were poorly designed, to me they look like added on aftermarket. Infiniti should've incorporated the fogs more.

I am SOOOO glad that they didn't have the Ugly front bumper from their website !

Thanks for the pics. I knew it was just a matter of time until a dealership in CA would receive them and I could see the non sport model. I have to admit I don't like the chrome around the fog housing, which I'm not sure why there is so much chrome there, considering the car has so little chrome to begin with. I am glad that this confirms the shot of the convertible non-sport option.

At least now nonsportz can have sport bumper , would look sweet w a lip from 08s .... Hmmm I wonder if someone can remove the bars on the TS lip and fit the new Chrome Fogs i'n place !!! Lol idk but whatever I'm I'n for S coupe pics.

 

the older lips wont work... see how it's more angled by the fog lights on the bottom of the bumper?


a good thing is that all 2011 Coupes will have the 2008-2010 sport side sills... whoo hoo

Unfortunately that Picture you posted IS the new sport bumper. As you say it is extremely UGLY. That is why I already bought a new bumper to put on my new 2011 6MT Coupe when it arrives. I refuse to drive my beautiful new G even 1 mile with that eyesore of a bumper!!!

 

You know what Scotty, I had seen that ad before and didn't even notice the fogs in the picture. Nice catch! As to the chrome, it seems that chrome is the new thing with manufacturers. I think if you were to just paint those chrome strips body color the fogs wouldn't look so added on and would possibly accentuate the bumper. We will have to see what the future brings. We all know that somebody on the forum will find a way to dress it up and make it look good!

 

Actually, I just did some research, it IS the same bumper as a 2010 sport. Same part number. I think it is just an optical illusion.

 

the chrome isnt TOO bad.

i dont know how i feel about the journey getting the pre 11 sport bumper....im kinda pissed actually. The fog lights look like attachment pieces, which is a good thing for pre 11 sport coupes if they want the fogs.

the rims are HORRIBLE, i wonder what the 18's looks like. I am pissed that the non sport gets the sport side sills

Man... I hate chrome trim. Those fogs look ridiculously cheap and they should have incorporated it more like the G sedan and M sedan. The sport bumper looks horrendous now, like a cat fish or something. Happy to have a 2008.. I've got a feeling many will be doin the bumper swap for the older style bumper... Don't even get me started on those wheels, big disappointment, just like the new GT-R wheels.

Yes, the headlights are smoked!!! I didn't realize it last night in the dark but I stopped by this morning and they are!!! I guess Infiniti is taking cues from everyone on the forums. lol
