I'm jealous, that must have been awesome. How does the G compare in performance to the R33 and R34s? I know the G is the Skyline in Japan right? Just never seemed logical for it to be a Skyline as the platform is totally different (ie not turbo AWD but NA RWD).
Love the pics ! Thanks for sharing ! I envy you damn RHD Skyline owners ! I want one !
But I wouldnt mind that lip, but oh damn $1,100 for just a lip is kinda steep... but I love it !

i think its crazy how they take a nissan skyline in japan...badge it into an infiniti...
and in the US we take infiniti's...and badge them into skylines??? hmmmm, all about being unique??

Thanks for all nice replies
Yeah, grass is greener on the other-side. Personally, Skyline badge is not coming off my car because I am proud to own part of the heritage. I don't blame US owners, as it is pretty much the same car, and to a car nut a skyline is a bigger name then infiniti. That being said, I like how the infiniti label looks and I wouldn't mind a key fob or even a steering wheel, especially if i consider getting cruise control. Wouldn't mind the seat logo too.
They don't make verts in Japan. So far I know only 2 or 3 that are been imported.
Doesn't seem like a popular option. I wanted one though...
Haha, if you can afford to get it and then maintain it, you can afford pretty much anything. Those are really expensive here. Sometimes price goes into 100G's USD
Dude, you would have eaten your words if you saw and heard how fast it was!
Folded mirrors are standard in Japan. I think it's regulation.
Well, G37 and Skyline are absoluely same, except for we get a 180km/h limiter and you get cruise control (duh!)
So number wise, Skyline is 330HP while R32. 33 and 34 were at 280. There is nothing strange about the Skyline being a skyline, because there always were different variations. There was always a sedan, low power sedan, and a sports coupe, that was called GT-S It was inline six 2.6 with smaller turbo and rear wheel drive. Maybe there was an NA, not sure, so G35 and G37 migrated from that, while having power of previous GT'R's... However large engines are expensive to own in Japan due to taxes so it became a luxury car.
So anyway,

Personally, I think R33 was one of the best GT-R's

More of red hottness

And somebody had a bad day out
