I disagree with the 6mt being less refined on the G's, that argument can be made on any car then. Even on your new M3 the gearbox on that is also very very clunky, I feel its worse then the G because the throws are longer. I know so because my best friend has an M3 and its gearbox is rough. Regardless though i love it and i would always go with the 6mt, I just need to have a clutch pedal
Don't get me wrong... I'm not bashing the 6MT on the G. What I am saying is that it allows a lot more NVH into the cabin than the auto and, IMO, more than almost any other manual car I have owned. I do understand that the high performance clutch will create more "noise" so to speak but on the G it is a lot (well, at least on my G). The M3 (the E92 version) also has the performance clutch harshness, so to speak, that the G had but it is still far more sheltered/refined in the cabin. I read about this complaint in a magazine review on the G where they made a similar comment as well but didn't care when I bought the car because the third pedal was more important to me than the extra NVH. I just wish Infiniti has refined the clutch a bit.
