NoVa Snow

This doesn't usually happen until January (if that early) but here on December 5 we are getting a bunch of snow in Northern Virginia. How I wish I had a garage...

I'm in Fairfax...it looks nice here too, here's a shot of my back deck. I like how the trees look with the snow on them. Although I probably should have remembered to cover my grill...

This is gonna suck...I think by tomorrow at this time there won't be any sign of a car, just a big snowdrift. And I forgot to cover the damn grill AGAIN.

there's a main road called route 7 i was going down it and it was really really slippery with the fresh powder. i couldn't have been going more than 15mph and i had been skidding and sliding all the way down the road, all of a sudden my car did a 180 and i was trying my hardest to keep control. i ended up softly falling in a ditch on the side of the road facing traffic. i had to wait 8 minutes for an opening in the traffic to reverse out of it. i looked into the ditch when it was safe and a huge pile of leaves and snow had cushioned my collision with the ditch. i go home and looked at the car and realize there wasn't even a scratch!!! literally, nothing!!! boy did i get lucky!!
as for the part about my car pulling through in the clutch: as i neared my home i have to go up a huge hill in order to get to my house, needless to say it was a formidable task considering what had just happened. i shifted into first and turned vdc off and charged my way up the "mountain". it was a great feeling lol.
it was a pretty nerve wrecking experience but im glad i got through without even a scratch on myself or the car. this was with 2 inches on the ground... imagine when all 20 inches pile up haha time to break out the ARMADA
