so today for the first time in 4 years i got pulled over for my tint being too dark. I just registered the car last week in massachusetts and apparently theyre pretty strict about tint. got pulled over today in the pouring rain so he could tell me my tint was too dark (15%) and to give me a $250 ticket. he then said that i need to bring it to 35% to be legal. I was wondering what 35 looked like on the front 2 windows on a black g any pics are appreciated.

Where in Mass are you? Im south shore. What year is your coupe? BTW i have 35% front and 20% rear. Orginally i wanted 20% all round but knowing that in Mass its very strict so i opted not to. Nice to see another G in the Bean.

 

35% tint front and sides. ceremic tint so it is actually lighter than a would be 35% metallic tint. this is in bright day time. just wanted to give u an idea. when the sky is overcast or evening/night it looks really good and no visibility problems also

 

thanks for the pics. I got pulled over in Avon right off rt 24, but I'm from North Attleboro. I have an 08 coupe with 15% all around, and the 35% is too light for my tastes I'm gonna have to find a way to keep the 15%. I had it registered in New Hampshire which you cant have any tint on your windows and never had a problem and now within a week of registering it here I got a ticket, from a cop in a tinted out expedition no less.

 

^ Oh i see. In the first pic there was an overcast so you cant really see inside. In the second pic it was sunny so you can see inside. And the third, well i just posted because of the viper...hehe. No cops have given me any problems yet and shouldnt...knock on wood.

 

35 is a little light for the front IMO. I have a black G35 coupe and I wish I went darker. I think ill do 30 in the front and 20 in back when I get my G37 coupe

 

^Yea I do agree that 35% up front is too light but I live in Mass where the Cops are @ssholes!

i did 35% carbon, but when i got pulled over the machine read 29%

 

I have 5% all around except the 2 front windows that are at 50%. These are so clear my wife didn't even notice when they were added. Believe it or not, the legal limit in Quebec is 70% for the front 2 windows .

Never had any issues at 50% but planning to move down to about 30% very soon. Just looks better and I see many other cars at about this level.
