Thanks! That's good to hear that they'll get louder as I break'em in. We were wondering that as soon as we put them on and I revved it a couple of times we couldn't really hear any difference. But as soon as I redlined her down the exit ramp onto the freeway I heard the whoosh. My G isn't fully broken in yet either. She just turned 1000 miles last week and I immidiately began to tear it up!

^^Thanks man! My buddy that helped me with the install said it was up to me if I wanted to disconnect it or not; he didn't think it was necessary; and my lazy *** didnt want all my presets to get reset
those look awesome!
Question though, the tubes are metal, and thus conduct heat. When you pop the hood after a good drive, don't you find those intakes are really hot? Wouldn't that heat up the air going through them? I would figure the stock plastic intakes to isolate temperature better. Would they perhaps perform better if they were wrapped? Granted, they wouldn't look as good though!

Thanks!! Yeah I was wondering the same thing....it was about 85 degrees out yesterday and I had a family event to go to across town so I drove down the freeway and back (45 minutes each way)...I hammered it a few times. After I got home, popped the hood I was amazed how cool to the touch they were! I thought I would have burned my hand, b/c the rest of the engine compartment was really hot. I would wonder if the black Injens stay even cooler....
I think they were cool due to the cool air running through them from outside the engine compartment. Maybe if you park the car they would heat up but I doubt it. I received my black Injen's today!
I was wondering how the Injens get any cold air since they're kinda wedged behind the fake air vents. I would almost be tempted to replace my fake air vents with some mesh ones, but than I'd be scared to drive if it rained given how low the filters sit. Now I guess I understand how the Stillen 3rd gen intakes make your engine run lean. They get too much air.
