ok guys, as of myself owner of S2000 and G37, i hate to see people putting parts on G37 that was designed for track car. like S2000, there are all kinds diffuser and wings to minimize the time on the track, and i see it is functional. but seriously, seeing diffusers and wings go on G37 makes me laugh. G37 was never designed for Track, more like cruising car with all kinds gadgets for convinience. if you want a diffuser with VQ37

get 370Z, this is just my .02

I want one because it looks good. I couldn't care less about the track.

Most people don't track their car, the diffuser is for cosmetic purposes.
Regardless if this is a luxury vehicle, a diffuser would like cool IMO.

that is my point exactly, if people arent going to track their car, what is the point of putting diffuser when diffuser is originally designed for other purpose than cosmetic.

as far as i know, the purpose of diffuse is to flatten out the bottom of the car so there would be less air resistant.
less air resistant = faster = better time, why are they dying to go million seconds faster? because that really matters in track time

i personally have a diffuser on my S2000 and also the wing. and my Amuse bumper has built in diffuser to cover the bottom of the car all the way to the middle and from the rear to another middle, my Js diffuser does its job for another half bottom.

it is crazy how much diffuser and wing saves my time in track.

That's your opinion. Laugh all you want.
I'm all for the rear diffusers, but not the wings.
Maybe we're all a bunch of ricers and wanna be track stars.

Like what mxrideralan said, it's all for cosmetics. Plain and simple.

CF parts (housing, roof, hood, trunk, interior.....etc) are designed for weight saving, but why do people buy it for the G? To save weight on the track?

I think not

I think if someone was worried about tracking out their G they would look more into a TT kit... not a diffuser (even if it were carbon fiber for less weight)
