w0ady 2.1 build thread (no 56k)

well sorry for the delay, just been busy with work and this cold weather sucks. anyways, this thread shows the build up of my new g37 that i picked up exactly 1 month ago. i didnt post up much pics when i got it since you all know what a stock 1 looks like. basic timelime was:

12/22 - picked it up from infiniti
1/1 - took it apart at my buddys garage
1/15 - got it all back together

summary of my mods:

powdercoated stock 19s gloss black - powdertech
nitto invos 245/40/19-275/35/19 - charles @ discount tire
painted grill and center caps kh3 (black obsidian duh) - stefan @ elite
headlights painted kh3 everywhere but fog reflectors - igor/x-vert
15% tint - devin @ clear impressions (also installed overlays)
6/10 tail light and spoiler light overlays - andy/bluebatmobile
stillen sways - sharif @ forged
eibach pro kit - sharif @ forged
6000k d2s bulbs - andy @ hpa
piaa superwhite leds - andy @ hpa
2500k luminics fogs - ebay

That looks fabulous!! I think I like gloss black instead of matte black on our car.

Looks good. Love your tag being a transplanted Gator myself. I have been using Mike the Powerdercoater for some stuff. He is great to work with. Look forward to seeing the calipers as I am thinking of same.

Did you or are you going to paint the lower 3 fake grilles in the front bumper to match the grill?

Wow!!! You're a modding fool! I like the drop. I like the headlights. I like the grill though I think I'd experiment a little with the emblem. I like the wheels a lot! I like the taillights tinted. Did the third brake light get tinted as well? Everything flows real nice together. It looks like you really had an idea of what you were after. Nice!

heh it was only supposed to be a couple weeks. shipping delays and cold weather held me up a bit. car was driving about a week ago.

gloss looks so much better with tinted windows and everything else on the car shiny.

uf alum dec 04 here. mike is a great guy. im heading back up to atl in a month to hang out and do the brakes. havent done them yet, thinking about it but its a pain to take the car down again. maybe later on.

yup spoiler light is tinted too. after 3.5 years in the g community, its nice to start over with all that experience behind me.
