they are 285/30/20 im kinda scared to lower it i dont wanna rub over every bump i hit

That's what I thought. I just used a micrometer to measure the sidewall thickness between the 245/35/20 and 285/30/20 and they are identical to the 10th of a mm. Funny how your pictures make the sidewalls look really chunky.

Lower it....you wont rub.
