Sucks. How exactly did that happen at a car wash?

Happened to me before with my audi....that wheel lock that pulls the car through the washing system scratches the rim right before it locks it into place.....manager appoligized and said he would give me a free car wash next time with detailing and i said no so we picked a shop as well he gave me the money and i had the wheel repaired..and ur right its not just the money...its the whole point of going through that hassle

free car wash and more rim damage. this is why you do it yourself. do a great wash, then a few coats of wax then every few days go over it with a microfier adn quick detailer. No problems.

to fix that 340$ are you kidding me.
I got same damage on my rims before after 3 weeks i got the car and it cost me 30 bucks to fix it. The most they should charge for it is 100 bucks and its still a lot. Try to find someone local who does repair alloy wheels and they will do good job.

You'll feel a little better after coming out about 240$ ahead. Find a place that will fix it for about 100$ as several other forum members have done...

(Never let others wash your G, not even the dealer)

you know my local bmw dealer had a washer just like that. they put my M3 through it a million times and never a scratch. not on my oem's or after market. they had this little piece that kept the wheel from getting ****ed up
