Sorry about your car. Just wondering do they have to repaint each panel except the roof?

Thats right BECAUSE you never unlocked it you left it open. If you unlock G and never open the door or trunk it will relock it self.Try it

No, walk up to car unlock it with key fob don't get in or open door or trunk and it will relock its self in about a minute. I don't think you can try it with you in car the seat will sense your weight. but you can try it. Its in the manual page 3-10.
