Gchick, are you sure that's Blue Slate??
I thought they were more "grayish" than blue. (from what I've seen in other threads)
That looks more like Athens Blue to me.

Yeah, I think it is too. The pic doesn't do fair justice as it looks very washed out in the bright sunlight.

 

Yes, that is my issue with the color. under darker conditions (cloud cover) it looks dark, very nice (imho) but in the bright sun light (like in arizona) it looks too light/washed out for me.

 

Nah definitely Blue Slate - Reflection might impair vision...

 

No way that's Blue Slate....that's the AMETHYST GRAPHITE...which is supposed to have that purpleish color to it.

I think that color was made specifically for chicks!

 

I'm thinking that's definitely Blue Slate, it pretty much matches what I've seen of the color on the sedan. The dark blue quickly turns purple in bright sunlight. It looks great in dark overcast conditions though, but the main turnoff for me is the change when under full sunlight. The Athens blue is a much brighter blue, and the Amethyst still always has a touch of grey to it with a more subtle purple hue.

 

Here's the color palette...tell me that ain't Amethyst Graphite.

 

How did you like the drive? I didn't like the new height of the front hood. It seems higher than the G35. As far as the suspension on the sport model, I found it to be quite firm, though not as firm as my aftermarket setup. I was equally disappointed to find out they still put the Bridgestone tires on there, but the rears are 9" wide instead of the 8.5" previous years. The rims are hideous in my opinion!
