I need a small favor from one of the IPL crew. Would you mind posting a shot of your sideskirts at a similar angle as the photo below? Preferably in the same color?



I'm working on a mockup of the G with most of the Zele kit and IPL Aero sides -- just wanted to see how it looks.

Check that thread. Raul has an avatar with the shot you're looking for, I think, and the photos in his post have a great shot of the side skirts.

Why not get the Zele sides? They flow so much better with the Zele front bumper cover. The IPL sides look **** with the IPL front..

Hey Ryan, glad you're reading this since you're the only member I'm aware of who has a Zele kit on your G. To answer your question, the Zele sideskirts are the only part of that kit that I'm not in love with. They're okay, but I'm just not sold (yet). I wanted to visualize how the IPL sides would look instead and see if I like the presentation any better. I don't know, maybe I just need to see different pictures of the Zele sides? I'm sure they probably look much better in person too. Also, not to derail this thread much more than it already is, but would you mind if I PM'd you for more info and about your experiences with the Zele kit? Anyway, thanks for your input.

Sounds good, only thing I would recommend is having someone measure how low/high the IPL sides sit, I could measure my Zele sides so make sure your sides will line up with the front. Whatever I can do to help. Someone tried this with the JP lip and it didn't line up at all. Hopefully you have better luck do you plan on getting the rear and wing?

^ that's a great angle. But it looks like close to the front wheel the IPL skirt goes flush with the front fender then flows into the IPL front bumper cover, while the Zele skirt kind of flares out to compliment the Zele front bumper cover. I don't think it will flow IMO. But it's up to the OP.

 

 

Ryan, what happened to the Photoshoot? I am a huge fan of the Zele kit but I really dislike the Zele grille... OEM would flow much better IMO

Yep, plan was to get almost the full kit (minus the grill and sides). Thinking about staying OEM on the grill (probably just plasti-dipping most of it -- I like the chrome Mt. Fuji with chrome top and bottom lips, while the rest is blacked out.) As for the sides, you know what I'm thinking there, though it's quickly becoming debatable. I really like seeing the Zele sides on an actual car. I guess we'll see how the IPLs look when I get a chance to sit down and mock it up (hopefully tomorrow after work.)

I'm also curious about this. Also, can one order in pieces, or is it better to get the whole kit at once?
