wow, im m.i.a for a few days and this thread has grown !
im hakka, and to clarify, hakka is another dialect, just like how mandarin, cantonese, fukien, chiu-chow... etc.
a lot of 'taiwanese' that are living in taiwan were originally hakka people that moved there, settled and thus called themselves taiwanese, but in reality, they were hakka to begin with.

would u guys interested in coming to a Taiwanese meet?
it's this Saturday 9pm at La Kaffa in Rowland
basically this is a meet for Taiwanese car lovers...used to be just me and some of my fob friends
but i would like to see more Taiwanese car enthusiastic so i am spreading out the word

Hahahah, I can't believe that you worked that into a sentence. Eat taco or not, you can still go to the meet in Rowland Heights.
I've been to La Kaffa once I think, little cafe place where every other girl was smoking a skinny cigarette. Very Taiwan-ish, especially the way people dressed.
