Tint shop in NW that will do BAT's overlays?

I have the GT-R headlight and taillight overlays in my house - ready to go on the car.

Realizing that while I can replace a Maxima transmission in under 1.5 hours - I cannot do the "artsy" stuff like tint, etc. I need someone to do it for me.

So iwent to 4 shops around the Puyallup area today and not one of them was even willing to try putting these things on. 3 of them said especially with the headlights having 3M guard they wouldn't do those. They say it seperates after a few months. BlueBatmobile tells me he's never heard of anyone saying they wouldn't put his overlays on over the 3M.

With the taillights, they say the curve of the taillight is just too odd an angle and you can't lay tint on it. I even tried showing them pics of others on the board who HAVE done it - but they were all unwilling.

So - anyone know of a good tint shop on the south-end of Seattle that would be willing to do something like this?

(Sorry for the late reply, I've been absent for a while).

Never did find anyone. Put the headlight tints on myself, and it went OK, but after the 1st hot day they bubbled like hell....so I ripped them off.

Still have the taillights sitting in the garage, not put on yet.

You got yours done at Accutint or you're just suggesting that they might do it? I still need to find someone to do it

Just suggesting it... I tried to do it myself but in turn ended up ruining the overlay.

Went to Accutint yesterday and they won't use that type of material that Bat uses. They did offer to put on their 3M smoke tape but because of the way our tail lights curves in, they will have to use 2 pieces which might show a big seam.

He mentioned that if I leave my car there for 2 hours, they will try to work something out nicely with their tape. If it comes out bad, they won't charge. I didn't have the time yesterday so if anyone in the area wants to give it a try, talk to Glenn at the Bellvue site.

Hey Crazy,

They put on Bat's overlays for you or used their own stuff? How much they charge you? Got pics?

I’ve seen the Ruskie’s G and they don’t look bad they just have a few small air bubbles that you can’t even see unless you’re looking for them.

They charged me $60 I think? They put Bat's on, not their own. They do offer a lifetime warranty as far as I remember if it bubbles they'll reapply it. I just haven't had the time to go down there and see if they'd take care of it.
