Warranty Service Experience @ Beshoff Infiniti
Just want to let you guys know about my great service experience at Beshoff Infiniti in San Jose.
A few months back I noticed a strange noise when turning my steering wheel to and fro. The noise was easiest to duplicate when the car was off, so I showed this to the techs at Beshoff. They basically went off my complaint and contacted Nissan directly for assistance and at that time they were told that duplicating that noise while the vehicle was not running was not a valid test since you are not supposed to be turning the wheel around when the car is off anyways.. duh? !
Anyways, fast forward a few months and last week the noise became very noticeable with a lot of steering binding during certain positionings of wheels. Showed them what the problem was even with the engine running and also told them what I had done to narrow down the problem. I got a call a few hours later stating that they would be replacing my steering rack.
Got the car back today and it is driving very nicely. I don't even have to come back to complain about scratched wheels or the steering wheel being off.
Good job to everyone in the service department - Thank you!

Beshoff is definitely a great dealership! That is where I purchased my car. Their dealership is so clean and tidy very minimalistic. I also saw them working on a Stillen supercharged white G37S there which was super clean.
Since Beshoff is so close to me, this is the only place I go. Their garage is so neat and bright. Also, their prices are not too bad. They gave me a quote to change rear differential fluid for about $60, which is the lowest I've seen from a dealership.

considering it is about 30 minutes of labor and you get a free car wash, that's a great deal! Normally you would pay at least $80 just for labor on this job at a dealership.

Hard to justify charging more when the labor is so easy. Not like in the old dash when you had 10-15 bolts to remove to remove a diff cover, clean the old gasket from the cover and diff, then refill.
I'd be surprised if it takes the tech more than 10 minutes once the car is in the air. Easier than doing an engine oil change even.

+1 on the Frontier parts department rant. There about worthless but I've had great service from the service department.
Bought my 2013 G37S in Oakland...not sure how their parts department is...but I got a pretty annoying 7AT transmission that has a very noticeable lag between gears. Going to call up Beshoff for sure..hopefully they will be willing to work with me.
It's unfortunate that I have to inform everyone that my overall satisfaction with Beshoff Infiniti has slipped somewhat since my last few visits...
I recently brought in my car with aftermarket 20" wheels (iForged) for tire replacement.
I ended up having 3 damaged lug nut covers (Ray's Formula lug nut set), granted that it's not entirely their fault and they did call first and informed me of the situation, so I can overlook this.
But I also found severely scraped paint around the stem valve on one of the wheels (I pointed it out to one of the service advisers and he said they can only provide me with some touch-up paint).
In addition, the tech also broke one of my TPMS adapters and managed to use a shorter replacement in which prevents me from measuring my tire pressure.
They said they will order the correct part and call me back, but it has been 2 weeks since it happened.
I guess I will give them a call tomorrow to see what's up.
I also felt they didn't try to do a very good job on my alignment.
I am on Eibach springs + Koni Yellows, without camber kit installed. I understand that the front wheel cambers are hard/impossible to adjust without the camber kit, so I can overlook that it is sitting at -2 degrees. But on the rear is supposed to be easily adjustable without camber kits to within -1 to -1.5 degrees, but they just left it at -2 degrees as well.
Unless there is some benefit to keep all four wheels at the same camber setting which I am not aware of, I felt they should have tried to adjust it as close to spec as possible.
Oh... and I've gotten my tires replaced at Beshoff twice before this, and both times were with GREAT results...

Dealer's pricing is very competitive in my area against independent or huge chain shops.
I've heard too many horror stories about America's Tires/Discount Tires, and most independent shops are not equipped to perform tire change on 20" wheels.
+ the dealer would be more inclined to fix a situation should one arise
