is anyone from the bay area? im trying to see if anyone knows any good shops out here that does good tints or clear bras

Im from the Bay Area...There are a couple of good places for the clear Bra Installation. Im getting my clear bra installed this weekend by Transparent Bra (Quoted $725). This guy who owns the business actually comes to your house, and even offers a payment plan which can be split up to four months. All my friends have got clear bra's installed from him, and he does a really good job.

The other company is Premier Mobile group, they are a little bit more expensive than other places, and you have to bring your car to there shop in Fremont, I think. All good reviews from that place.

As for the tint, I'm still trying to figure that out for myself. I'm not sure how much of a percent to put! I only want the least amount of tint 3-5%. Because only ugly people get dark tint, they don't want anyone to see them. Hahaha!

In my RSX I got five windows done for 150 (or maybe even 125) at omega tintwerks in livermore/pleasanton. The guy's name is Vince. I can not recommend him enough. No fading, no bubbles, no nothing. He takes his time during the process, but after 4 years the tint still looks like new.

Remember though, in CA any percentage in the front windows is illegal. Be prepared to accept the consequences of a fix it ticket on the tint.

Just picked my G37 up from Premier yesterday with a full hood job and front end. Looks good so far. They have an excellent warranty. 1228 out the door. More expensive with the full hood and door cups. The drive down there from Walnut Creek was horrible though. Peppered with rocks and dust all the way down. It didn't seem to matter how far I was behind people. I'm probably more sensitive to it now with a new black car. Oh well, the bra will help with piece of mind I hope.

ive been hearing good things about omega and premier. i want tint too but that whole law and everything and i dont want to deal with it

got mine from premier as well. i think it was $825 out the door for the extended kit (24" up the hood). they had to do a custom install for my bumper 'cause their internet was down (they had to download the templates). guy i spoke to told me that the custom job was better 'cause there's almost no gap in my car's lip.

give 'em a call, look for chris or wilson.

oh and make sure to bring some touch up paint if your car already has stone chips. mine had a ton of em when i brought my car in, those guys at premier were very nice, they offered to do some touch ups before they installed the clear bra.

installation took about 5 hours.

I used windowtintingworkz (real name) in San Ramon. Great job done too. They are at 30 Beta Court, Building B in San Ramon, CA 94583. Their number is (925) 831-2846 or 1-800-961-8468. They have a web site http://www.925tint.com I just had my windows tinted and the dealer had the clear bra done for me before I even picked up the car. They did a nice job too.

Premier in Fremont www.premiermobilegroup.com did my G35 some years ago. The bra looked perfect even till the day I sold the car. I got more done on the G37, with full hood and custom bumper. The customer service is great and the work is absolutely the best. You pay more for them, but the quality and service more than makes up for it.

Premier is the best in the business. They have been doing great work for years. A little pricy but honestly for the quality of work you get, its worth it. Sam (the owner) gets flown all over the world to wrap entire cars.
