Independent mechanic near Philadelphia (western burbs/main line))

My warranty is up so I'm looking for an independent mechanic in my are who specializes in Infiniti's/Japanese imports or just does good work in general. I do most of the general maintenance on my car, so i'm pretty particular with what mechanic i use for big jobs.

Depending the job, you have level 10 located next door to you if it's trans. work. If it's something really major, outside of the trans, Hill's garage is the best in the tri-state area judging by everything I've read regarding them.

I'm aware of level 10. Both of those are about 2-3 hours away. Was thinking closer, like, in state.

Have you tried googling Nissan specialists in your area using google maps? If you're looking for a everyday mechanic who can perform 80% of the work required you shouldn't have an issue in PA given the size. For specialty stuff though, you're going to have to make travel arrangements or figure it out if you want the best of the best so to speak. For example, I have my local mechanic who I trust for everyday stuff, Level 10 is +3hrs away but I'll be taking the car to them if the need arises and SpecialtyZ in Cali will be my go to for a tune.

I know a guy who had the clutch cylinder fail who was located near you and took the car to Hill's. Do what you gotta do sometimes.

I used to take my VW GTI to Woodlawn Garage in Germantown. Those guys were incredible and usually you got a good show walking in there and getting to see GT2 cup cars on the lifts and stuff. They do indicate they specialize in Nissan as well. I used them for about 3-4 years for pretty much everything and they were phenomenal. I had a spark plug wire go driving home from work and stopped by there. They had just done my rear axle beam bushings a couple days before and the guy just gave me a new wire for free and sent me on my way.

They also have a garage hidden above their shop so your car won't sit outside overnight.

nice, that's just a quick shot down lincoln drive, which is a fun drive anyway. Can drop the car off and take a hike in the park
