CT coupe owner trying to race me 12/13

So I was driving back from Mohegan sun on ct 2 towards Hartford early this morning when (I think, it was dark) a 2009ish blue coupe with after market exhaust and non stock headlights, and debadhdd trunk. License plate was ### LEO kept trying to get me to line up next to him and race. I have a stock black sedan awd. License plate weirded me out because Leo could be law enforcement officer and I'm paranoid. This guy was relentless, I would try to drive reasonably and ignore him but he would get in front of me, put on his hazards and triple tap brakes and then try to line up next to me repeatedly. It was almost funny. I've got too much to lose to get caught drag racing. Trust me, part of me wanted to but what's the point in racing similar cars?! If this driver is on here you seriously took it a bit too far.
When he finally gave up it was fun to drive as a duo through... Trying to race though... Not cool!

I feel you on being paranoid about racing cars with weird license plates. I came to a stop light last week and pulled up next to a Dodge Challenger that had regular state plates. It was the sameish color as my sedan (graphite shadow), dark tint that was at least 5% because i couldn't see inside it, and it had a huge hood scoop on it, not like the SRT8 that pokes up through the hood from the engine. But on the top right hand side of the rear spoiler there was a small 1" x 4" badge that said "Police Interceptor". You wouldn't be able to see it unless you were right up on it. It was the only thing on the car to imply that it was a law enforcement vehicle. You never know these days. It always best to just play it safe and take it to the track if someone wants to line'em up....

I agree. I don't think the G coupe was a unmarked car but I'm not gonna race from a speed of 50 up to 110+ and risk running into a speed trap= potential jail time

Wow, that's crazy! Makes me glad I showed some restraint. How is what happened to your friend not entrapment? The police departments of our country really have to evaluate putting resources in to tricking people into racing... It's all about $$ they make from fines. Just deplorable.

^ +1, seems like entrapment if the STI was the instigator.

sti just paced him... friends bravado got the best of him...
its typical here.. troopers will also park on the shoulder with lights on seemingly to have had pulled someone over..
as soon as you pass em thinkin hes too busy... he either nabs you or the trooper ahead does if youre speedin..
ive heard them use abandoned cars as decoy or deliberately place one just for that..
