Run a FB search for Tennessee Gs and Zs, should pull them up. If that doesn't work shoot me a PM and I'll find the group for you. They do a lot of Natchez Trace cruises and I think a couple meets and dinners. I imagine more than a few will be heading this way for ZCON.nihavejt managed to make any cruises yet, there was one last year on my way back from the sedan meet in PA but I was tired of driving by that point.

If you have the time and are inclined the PA sedan meet was a good time last year. Except for the rain from KY to DC anyway.

Sorry for going MIA y'all. Pneumonia has been kicking my rear end and has been lingering like a bad haircut.

I've put some statistics together and I'm thinking PA is a the central location for a meet-up (sorry Kirk and Chris). Even with factoring you two it brings the central point to northern MD/southern PA. I've been poking around what there is to do in York, Harrisburg and maybe the outskirts of Philly - there are a few options.

Also, if we could find a place where we can set up camp for a day, that'd be nice. I know we couldn't have any alcohol last year so I am trying to find a neutral place that will allow us to BBQ and have a great time.

I found this event in Carlisle, PA that might be something fun to hit if we are in the area.

For those of you in the Midwest...there is a group called IMIN (Indiana Modified Infiniti Nissan). I was just able to get in touch with one of the admins and you should know that they are active.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/Indi...nfinitiNissan/

That is the group and you just need to send an email to: IMINcarclub@gmail.com

I am posting this on the370.com forums as well...as that is where I was looking for this info initially. I also have someone waiting to hear back on my luck on getting in the group. Either way, hope to see a bunch of people getting together soon in Indiana. We need more action!!

Anyone willing to compromise a longer trip to pick a bit more of a desirable location?

I know it's subjective, but might be easier to attract attendance if the meetup is at or near a good place for a weekend trip?

Just a thought

All,

Just want to let you know I'm still searching for that "must have" meet up spot. Pennsylvania is definitely the median for most of us traveling.

Outdoor pavilions don't exist unless you're in some sort of state or county park. Not necessarily a no-go however if a spot where alcoholic beverages is desired, these will not work. Another idea is to find an open parking lot or some sort of scenic drive where we can all meet up and park for a few hours to hang and then wrap up with a group dinner of sorts. That is another option.

Personally, we had good success with a state/county park last year. My idea is to try that again and then convene for a dinner in the evening before we all head separate ways.

Thoughts anyone?

(1) I'm thinking people are going to want to test-drive each others cars. That was awkward last year, with the pavilion so deep in the park. You either crawled around the park in second gear, or you drove all the way out just to run down the road and back.

(2) Having a powered pavilion with a large cooking grille was a big advantage last year. However, the pavilion was still too far away from the cars to have the cars be part of the meet-up.

(3) People went nuts over my wife's macaroni salad, which isn't something you'd expect about of a macaroni salad. I've given her fair warning.

(4) Driving in caravan after the meet-up was pretty cool. With that in mind, I could envision starting the day at one location, then moving en masse to a final location.

(5) We easily had 3x the necessary foodstuffs last year. We should keep that in mind. I know it's better to have more than not enough, but I was feeling self-conscious about how much waste was created.

No worries John, I'll be there just so you can feel more comfortable

I gotta agree with all the points but especially #3 ! I rarely ever say that but that salad was great !

Agreed on those points as well. Especially the fact about test driving other's vehicles.

There's only few locations that will allow us to hang out and have some grub. Otherwise, I'm just thinking a central location like John suggested, show off mods, do some test drives and then move to another location.

Does anyone in the PA area have any recommendations for this? I'll contact a few of my friends who live throughout PA and get some suggestions.

I know it's not a central point for anyone but would anyone be against Bear Mountain in NY. It offers scenic route for a cruise as well as couple areas to take some nice single or group shots. There is also Rockland State Park. Just thought I'd throw those ideas out there.

For the Mid-South Strongman show they approached the Tunica Casino. Casino said if you sell X rooms you can use the parking lot for the competition, maybe someplace in PA would do the same?

If Pittsburgh isn't too far for everyone I could call the place I used to work, good sized parking lot there. Couldn't test out each other's cars on property though but there are some back roads.

Good german food down by the river as well. Plus, you know, the Stillers and all

Pittsburgh isn't bad for me - how about the rest of you all? I like that idea, Chris. Can you check in on that and see if that could be an option?

Another option: I've got a friend who owns Open Road Tuning in Malvern, PA and I toyed the idea of having ORT hosting a BBQ. I did say we would bring our own supplies - he's just providing a spot for just to hang out and a meet and greet. Will be chatting with him about that option later this week.

Pitt is 4.5 hours for me. Like last year, that would be an overnight trip.

That's certainly far more west for the NJ members than last year's location was.

And I've got a PM... Lance wants the balance for my catback. I'm a few weeks out now.
