For the forum, I typically size photos to a 1000 pixel width. That's my recommendation.

Nice to see you figured it out. I suspected eventually you'd bring all those years of computer tech to good use.

VA Beach... Maybe a cool location but man I hate VA so much, the fact radar detectors are prohibited and state troopers pull people over left and right for the smallest things

OK. I'll look into someplace that isn't a ZILLION miles for me (Since I don't live in NY anymore) and close enuff that MAYBE most will come. Although Rochester has already said that 4 hrs is his limit. lol.
If everyone can shoot me where your from...I'll see what I can find. I know it's WAYYYYY early. Just curious at this point as to who'll come where.

Thats jacked up...lol. I guess the other Sean would be the only one willing to show. I did notice how quiet everyone else was when he said I should host something down my way for next year. lol

We like a good road trip...as long as there's a hot tub at the end of it.

And where did you get the assumption that I drive like a jackass? I drove for 5h each way through NoVA on my way to TN/NC in May at the speed limit or speed of traffic 5mph over, and everyone knows how VA state troopers terorize drivers on interstates through VA for anything and everything, seen it several times so yeah your ASSumption is just wrong

Why thanks for the kind words, John. And yes, my engine bay sucks. That's probably next on my list of mods to do.

And it was good to meet everyone! Hope we can all do it again soon. Speaking of which, I'm planning on doing Tail of the Dragon this fall...anyone ever been?

Hey John, there's an exterior feature that is different on my car than on a G37 when looking from the front. I spotted this at the meet and it's one way to tell I have a G35. Can you guess what that is?

You've a 2010+ front end conversion with the OEM sport lip, customized aftermarket headlights, fully painted grille, hide-a-way plate frame, and a very awkwardly placed registration sticker. So from the front? No, I can't tell.

No sunroof, maybe?

If you drive within a reasonable fashion, I don't see the issue here... You're most likely basing your point of view after listening to other individuals form other states that have a more leisured highway patrol organization. Not every state can be like PA (where no state patrol seem to exist). Yes, VA does NOT permit the use of Radar Detectors or other related devices. That simple restriction should put one thought in your head, "Hmm... maybe because they don't permit those devices, they will be watching for speeders. It's probably a good idea that I should stay within the speed limit."

After chatting with many VA State Troopers, here are a few things to follow:
  1. Do not exceed the speed limit by an unreasonable amount
    • If you do speed, don't break posted sign by more than 9MPH or go above 80
    • Stay within a reasonable speed limit within a large group of drivers around you
  2. Stay in middle or right-most lane if possible
    • Driving in left lane assumes allows them to assume you're speeding
  3. Keep a safe following distance
  4. Do not weave through traffic
  5. Drive a road-worthy vehicle
    • Specific officer makes this statement after seeing all the Canibeat/Dapper morons with an excess amount of rear wheel camber
  6. One of my favorites he mentioned: "Get out of our way!"

Take it from someone who has lived in Virginia their entire life, and who has actually witnessed almost anything on the highway, including getting stopped by highway patrol for excessive speeding.

Not true. At 10:30 AM Sunday morning, I went through this one sleepy town. It was deadly quiet and empty, so I'm assuming my car was stupidly loud and obvious in that setting.

In any event, about a minute outside the town, a PA state trooper raced up to my rear bumper and tailgated me through the coutryside for about two long miles. He must have been parked somewhere near the only stoplight, heard me, and decided to investigate. I set the cruise control to the speed limit and waited for him to pass. He did, eventually, and we just exchanged a quick glance as he raced by. I have to say, I didn't like it. Not one bit.

Driving while a harmless Old White Man... dodged that bullet. LOL
