IN MANALAPAN, NJ my building shook. i thought i got an ear infection lolol
it was about 5-7seconds long of shaking.
now all the land lines & cellphones are clogged. only texts barely getting through.
(my friends felt it in NYC as well.)

heard it was 5.9 in Virginia.

Felt the quake pretty good here in Maryland, bunch of stuff fell off shelves in my house, pictures moved on walls. I'm home with my son, grabbed him and ran outside when the intensity starting building.

Wasn't that bad here in DE, at least not in New Castle. There were ~3 shakes and it was over. People at the office are bugging out though.

Biggest quake I've ever been in, the house shook good enough to get me to leave it. 5.9 magnitude seems pretty intense for the East Coast.

Ditto here in northern Maryland, house rocked back and forth for 10-15 seconds.

It was actually about 50 seconds long (according to some more scientific reports from what I understand)....I don't know if it's the building I'm in or what but I feel like I felt almost all of it. Others around me hadn't even noticed when I first asked, "did you feel that?" but shortly there after, the intensity started building. I felt it from the point of minor rumbling (akin to a large truck passing by) gradually increasing to it's full intensity.

Was a bit interesting noticing it from that early on and seeing how it progresses. The downside of noticing that early is seeing a longer progression and wondering how much stronger it may get.

i'm on the 22nd floor in mid-town manhattan... my seat felt like it was sinking into the ground... pretty crazy... and amazing that buildings are built the way they are to withstand that flexing...
