Window Tinting Choices and Locations

Sorry for the hijack...
I've only ever had cars with tinted glass and not tint applied (why the hell Infiniti doesn't do this is beyond me. One of my only gripes about this brand).
My back window has a strange effect with regards to the headlights showing through. It's like they are visually broken into pieces, vertically, because of the tint and the defrost wires in the glass. Is this normal?

If you look at my prior post in this thread, that is what I have had and my guy mainly uses on all the high end stuff he does. Suppose to be great stuff.

My father's Dodge Grand Caravan has it's sides and rear factory tinted. My G is at 35% and I'm willing to bet the van is equal to that or higher. PT Cruisers have a dark rear tint as well. The Infiniti tint is barely there at 75%, it's pretty much just their heat-reduction tint, correct?
