50% tints all around in jersey?

SO, i live in jersey. yeah the tint laws suck here. but im considering on getting my car tinted soon. i was thinking 35% on the rear, and 50% on the front and back passenger windows. i have graphite interior so i believe the 50% will look a little darker. any opinions on what i should do?

You'll have to take off the tint on the doors every time you get an inspection.

You don't have any mechanic friends? 50 % is really light.

I have 5% on back windshield and 20's on the 2 little windows and on the front windows and thinking about getting 35% on the front windshield because I NEVER get hassled. I would never get 50% dude.. your going to regret wasting your money so much in the future trust me, I regret getting 20's.. I wish I got like 5's or 10's in the front

I live in NY, but a good friend of mine lives in NJ and he has 35% tint on the G35. He is forced to remove the tint on the door windows to pass the state inspection. From what he told me, NJ vehicles can only be inspected by a state inspection station, not local garages.

He still likes his tint, so he has it redone after every inspection.

^^^ apparently it was just changed this past june... now you do not have to get tints removed in NJ for inspection...

I had my car inspected in April so I had to get my tints removed

Well, if that's true then my G35 buddy peeled off his tint for no reason. He just had his car inspection in November. He hasn't had the tint put back on yet.

What makes you think they changed the inspection rules?

And as far as I know, it is still 100% illegal to have any tint installed on the front side windows in NJ. But that's another issue entirely....

The new inspection rules as of I believe August 2010, emissions only! They are no longer inspecting tint, tires, alignment, lights. Tinting on the fronts still illegal and if you get pulled over they can still write you a ticket for it. That being said, I have 35% all around and haven't gotten stopped once.

Yep, that's what I heard to. They check for light brakes I think and the exhaust and that's it I believe, maybe other problems as well which is why I'm going to get my front windowshield tinted aswell.
