NoVA Snow Part 2

Man the Blizzard of 2010 is a killer. It snowed for about 32 hours straight and from the places I measured around the house we got about 26.5 inches!! Everywhere is closed, nobody is out, and I was fortunate enough never to lose power, all of my friends did so its a party at my house. The G wont be seeing any sun for a while, the garage is completely blocked and there's more snow coming in the middle of the week apparently. Ill post picture as soon as I can find the cable for my camera.

It's pretty crazy out there. I'll be bumming rides off my audi friend for a while. I hope I can get out to the superbowl party tonight, I know my G isn't going anywhere in this.

I'm in Northern Maryland (40 minutes from the Delaware line), we got about 28-30 inches of snow. I can't even see my Infiniti, let alone even begin to think about going out when all the back roads are completely covered. The super bowl party stays at my house this year unfortunately.

I feel your pain. Thankfully I park in a covered garage, so that has helped.

I did get a chance to take it out for a short spin to check the AWD and SNOW mode -- works fantastic!

What a stupid amount of snow we got. And we may get another foot on top of this?? Where are we going to put it all? The snow piles are already six to eight feet high.

This was Saturday morning, when it was still snowing:

Where are we going to put it all? It was hard enough moving it out of the parking area (I live in a townhouse) and over to the other side of the street to put in eight-foot-tall piles.

If I wanted the kind of snow they get in Buffalo, I'd have fvckin' MOVED THERE.

Snow mode works very well, it has come in handy. But I have a job where I can't get a lot done from home, so every "snow day" just means I have to put that eight hours in somewhere else.

And I am really sick of shoveling snow for five or six hours straight. My hands ache like no other.

Here's a shot off my back deck, after the snow finally stopped.

yeah i agree shoveling sux. maybe you should hire a neighbor's kid to help you clear the snow. luckily i live in an apartment and the management is responsible for the cleanup.

btw that picture is nice, almost looks fake.

My neigbors' kids are all girls and the oldest is 7 years old. Not much help, sadly...LOL...my son is 5 so he can't do much besides climb on the snow piles.

Thanks for the compliment on the pic...when I poked my head out the back door and saw the colors in the sky and how the light was making everything look so subtle, I had to get a couple shots of it.
