what's up guys. anybody has any recommendations which reliable and reputable shops to get my car tinted? Should I go with legal limit at black 35% or lower? thanks

 

not sure exactly where in boston your located, but I got mine done at The Tint Guy in lawrence. He does EXCELLENT work. $140 and lifetime warranty. Oh and ANY shade you want. I did 30%.

that is what he charges for g37 coupes since they don't take as much time as bigger cars or sedans. I ended up getting 28%. He said it is the pretty standard. Dark enough without hassle from cops.

 

btw is your car black? and do you drive through revere at all about 530ish? I been seeing a black g37 lately around squire road...

I called up the place you recommended, got appointment to get it done this saturday for $140. it's 30 miles drive but its still really good since some other local shops want to charge $225 and this guy only do tints so I expect nothing less than a perfect job. 28% isn't gonna pass a sticker inspection is it? I was going to get 35% windows, 10% back windows, and 35% back windshield but I might consider the 28%

 

tell him the kid with the blue slate coupe referred you. maybe you will get a discount or something.... lol
28% will pass inspection at the place I get my sticker...I goto a few dif places and they passed my rsx which was low...tinted and bunch of other stuff with no problem.

I'm not a fan of different shades but do what you like. He will show you pics of 28 or 35....you won't want 35 since it's basically not worth it. It has a lifetime warranty so you can always replace them if you get a ticket but he said only get into problems with less than 20.

other local shops are a ripoff like sonny's or superior in saugus. plus they won't go lower than 35.

 

let me know what places you got your stickers lol i got stuff done on my g37 too and i'm afraid i wont pass smog test haha. but yeah i think i might go with 28% if its not so bad. thanks for the inputs man.

I got mine done from this awesome shop in Lowell MA..I always go him for my tint/vinly needs..the place is called car-risma and they use the finest tints and back their work up lifetime..I got straight 35% and it looks great!

 

thanks Goonz your car looks awesome with that 35% tint. how much did that car-risma place charge you for the tint? But I went to the place TripleX suggested last weekend instead. it was only $140 with lifetime warranty and the quality is great too. I got 28%, 20%, 20% its beautiful.

 

^^ and the kid is good **** too. Was his dog there? You see his sick bike?

the 28% is perfect. shouldn't get hassled by the cops, not sure about the 20 though. throw up some pics

 

yeah that was the first thing i commented on haha. his red honda bike looks sick. his dog wasn't there when i was there. he does the job pretty fast too. took him like a lil over 1hr. i dun think 20% in the rear is gonna get me into trouble. i passed thru couple cops already and they didn't pull me over (knock on wood) 20% looks absolutely gorgeous though. although i wish i did 15%. i was gonna get 15% too but i was too worried that i can't see outside with it.

 

yeah. good thing you didn't get the 35 like you wanted. the pics of the 35 he showed me looked pointless IMO. 28 is PERFECT, actually may even be too light during the day. he does some pretty good work for cheap
