Any Skyline Drive runs planned?
Does anyone in the DC/VA/MD area know of any plans to road-trip over to Skyline Drive / Blue Ridge Parkway? I did a personal trip over last year, and am considering one soon. Just wondering if there are any groups / clubs in the 350Z / G families heading over.

If I do, I'll make another post in here. Most likely, will just be me and my better half.
The idea of packing a picnic basket / cooler and cruising the parkway w/my camera handy does sound appealing.

The folks over at www.my350z.com are planning a drive on Nov 3. I'll most likely be joining them.

Skyline driving is best enjoyed above 10mph.

Found out the G35 group is going out this weekend, Sunday I believe. We're painting this weekend, so I don't know if we'll make it or not.

I wish I would have bought an annual pass. I am pretty sure we'll go back once more this season, and a few times next year. The pass cost = 2 trips, so it would be worth it to some.
We'll probably head out again the weekend of Nov 3, just not sure what day we'll go or what time. But judging from the lines we saw yesterday getting IN to the park (around 2-ish I think) I'm glad we got there early.

We had plenty of road to ourselves to have some fun in the twisties
The weather was perfect, the road was dry, and my A/S tires did a pretty good job. (AT drivers take note: use DS and/or manual for maximum 'grin potential'. 2nd or 3rd will be your favorite gears on the curves.)The G35 drivers seemed to like my car, and I liked theirs. We had some short discussions about the various changes, some of the available tech upgrades (backup camera, technology package, etc). They did seem to think I should re-badge it to a Skyline
We'll probably head back over some time soon. I was reminded that Saturday mornings are reserved for Doggy Obedience Class (at least, if they continue to have them - our dog's the only one in attendance so far). So that force us into another Sunday drive (fine with me).
We hit the park somewhere around 9:30-9:45 I think. Going in, the traffic wasn't bad at all. The leaves are still turning, but it's pretty photogenic now. It'll look nicer in 2-3 weeks, I'm guessing. Traffic going out around 2-2:30, there were long lines waiting to get in. We went in near Front Royal, drove to the Big Meadows area, then drove back down to the exit near Luray.

Bump. My fiance and I are tentatively planning to head over toward Front Royal on Sunday Oct 28, around 9-ish. So far I've had no responses to meet up. If you're interested in joining us, email me at carmanj-at-mac-dot-com.

Maybe I'll be able to join the next outing.
