Hey! Now I resent that... Just because I'm too weak to loosen a bolt... :P

My quick review of the grounding kit:

Immediate difference with the TCU/ECU wire installed. The MM shifts were a lot quicker and even smoother. The lag between the time you hit the lever and the time it shifts has been reduced by a large amount. It's still no manual tranny, but still very good for an auto.

I let a friend come on along for the drive and he saw the difference immediately. At first he was complaining about how it's all "snake oil" and what not. Well, now he's convinced that it's a good mod and he'll be getting a set of wires for himself soon.

Another friend of mines wanted to see the difference so I let him borrow the car for a spin. I sat in the car with him and watched him go at it. He currently owns an MT Acura CL. After driving the G with the grounding wires, he wants a G, and would even take an auto over the MT. The wires are that good.

I've noticed 2 things different after having the wires installed though. First is a good thing. The shifts feel a lot smoother now. Even in auto mode, the shifts aren't as rough as before, and shifts in MM are A LOT smoother. 2nd thing is that I've noticed that my crusing RPM seems to have increased by 100 or 200, but that could be my mind playing tricks on me. Right now, when I'm cruising at 80mph, I'm in the 3100-3200rpm range. I could have sworn it was right around 3000rpm before I had the wires installed. Is that the same for everyone?

Thanks for the great kit though GordGee. And the wire installation wasnt that hard. It was just figuring out where the wires go for the first time. After that part was done, the installation itself was easy. Rob did his install in like 20 minutes. So it's not ALL of the SF people that have problems with the wire installation XD

Gord, this is exactly where I sent the payment (again).

If you don't have it by Monday, please let me know and I will check the status with my bank.

Not sure why it's taking so long again. Hopefully it'll be here after the long W/E, early next week.

Maybe "Halloween" should be correctly changed to "Sugar-Rush Day"...

I finally remembered to check my rpm at 80mph. Why is it that I'm only running at 2850rpm? Is there a difference in gearing between years? For reference, I have a 2004.5 AT sedan.

A suggestion:

Since you've already sent 2 Cashier's Cheques or MOs drawn from the bank via USPS, take your receipts from the bank to the USPS Post Master. Explain that it's ridiculous that they've somehow lost 2 so far, and that this is unacceptable for Postal Service.

They should be able to provide you with an Internationally valid MO free of charge, and should even be able to provide a trackable envelope with 'Priority' delivery to send to me at no charge.

Let me know how it goes.
I apologize for the inconvenience, but this is absolutely ridiculous. Somebody at USPS really doesn't like me. What is weird is that they are not getting to you, and not being returned to the sender (me).

Tomorrow I will send through either my UPS of FedEx corporate account, (let me know which you think would be more efficient). I will get tracking confirmation to figure out where the money is at all times.

I need to go argue with the bank again to return my money from the check, but will have another issued tomorrow.

I HATE USPS!!!
