i was planning to do 35% front/sides, 20% rear. How bad are the cops out here?

 

If you don't want to get hassled don't go so dark on the sides. Any darker than 50% on the driver/passanger windows and you're running a risk of a fix-it ticket.

 

Finally got my windows tinted at California Auto Tint. Did 50% on the front sides and 20% on the back 3. They did a great job for $300. Will post pics later...

 

A month ago or so, when I was at Sweet Peas in Los Gatos, I briefly talked to some guy with a Black Sedan who said that some tint place in Campbell was doing a great job. According to what he told me, they are actually taking the windows out and kind of cook the tint on the glass.
Do you guys know if it's the same place ? I've been looking for that one in Campbell, he said it was close to Winchester, but could never find it...

I don't think it the same place. California Tint did not remove my windows. They used dyed film.
