yes. Its on the corner of main street and A street. Its near albertsons, jamba juice, starbucks, coldstones, etc. Its two stores down from Dominoes, and across the street from Weinershnitzel. I'm sure you are talking about the same one.

Cool How about a meet and greet somewhere fun

How about we set up a meet and greet somewhere fun for everyone to hang out. Not some boring ole parking lot. Instead, somewhere where we can showboat our cars and sit down and socialize. Somehwere like Santana Row or downtown Pleasanton. Those 2 places are known be sports car magnets, and they have lots of places to sit down and eat and drink and people and car watch. Everyone will see a parade of G35s...it'll be fun. Which day, I'm not sure yet. As long as it's a nice hot sunny summer weekend day. Plus I wanna meet some of you young G35 lady drivers...I've seen yall out there on the roads!...these 2 places have shopping too, so something for everyone. Just no ricers please...ricers annoy me...asians are cool, just don't be a ricer!

Any takers? If so, name an up and coming date.

I'm glad Asians are OK with you. What about other races? Can we go to the meet too???

What determines a ricer and how will you prevent them from showing up to the meet?

Sorry, didn't mean to sound racist. I'm not...I'm asian. I just don't like the ricer stereotype nor perpetuating it. Given the G35 is beginning to have this rice burner/rocket rep like the civic. I'm completely fine with all races showing up...just don't enjoy the ricer type crowd(the type you would see at Hot Import Nights). Look up ricer on www.urbandictionary.com

Anyways, Santana Row would be way more funner, and there is actually plenty of parking. There is a huge empty lot on Santana Row if you go half way down the row, and take a left and at the end, there is a lot huge lot that is mostly empty. Also, there should be some parking in the back lot where the theater is as well. Then as spots open up on the the curb parking of the row itself, we can gradually take over the spots and everyone will start thinking that Infiiniti is here advertising their cars. It'd be good fun...coffee, food, drinks, music, chess, shopping...other sports car owners will be there to mingle with too. Then if yall wanna drive, then I'm sure we can figure out a parade route. Maybe up to Palo Alto, and parade down Stanford and University Avenue....then after that everyone can take off or cross the Dumbarton bridge...and down to Dave and Busters for food and drinks. How's that sound? If good, let's pick a weekend day in late June? Like June 25 or 26th?

Regards,

Eric

Ok I agree with Skeltoncru that the usual hangout in parking lots and a drive is getting boring....

Here's what I suggest and probably will do this middle of August? This worked in the past also.

Meet at Dave @ Busters...hang out in the parking lot for a bit, grab some food, play some racing games....hang out there shoot some pool...and if we're up to it, a sunset or evening drive to Santa Row?
We can all have dinner at one of the fine establishments...

Maybe Saturday the 18th?

I wanna see some good responses and if there's at least 20 members interested, we'll need to reserve a table for our group.

I like all the ideas too...!

Next meet definitely sit down for lunch/dinner - meet/greet -

Hey Bobs,

Yeh, sounds like your plan is a little bit more better than mines. I'd say a sunset drive to Santana Row though, so that we can still get there while everything is still open and there's still sunlight to show off the cars and enjoy the fresh air. Then yeh, dinner and drinks, Blowfish Sushi maybe?...maybe even hit the V Bar afterward if it's a Saturday night. Main thing is setting a date...I'm sort of booked on the weekends of June...the 18th may or may not work for me. I'll know next week. But this ain't ample time to get more members to sign up. Hopefully some women owners will show too!

Actually late August is a perfect time to do downtown Pleasanton (Main St.), because they have Hot August Nights hosted by www.good-guys.com, and at night every sportscar classic and new show up and parade down the street. Crowds show up just to spectate. It's really nice.

Eric ;-)

Might as well meet at Santana Row then, cuz no point in meeting in the boring ole D&B parking lot...standing around for an hour or so. I still prefer Santana Row too...none of this mini golf stuff, we're grown adults here, not kids. =) But I don't mind meeting initially at another place, as long as I don't get bored out of my wits waiting around. I don't mind D&B, cuz they have everything I need...pool, beer, food, drinks, people..and it ain't depressing like some other places.

Ok let's try this idea:

VALLEY FAIR ROOF TOP PARKING LOT is where we'll meet...maybe around 6pmish if we're going to get together for dinner. It's going to be difficult parking all our G's on Santa Row but Frontier Infiniti is down the street...
We might/should get all our G's parked outside the dealership. Maybe I can talk to them and see if they can reserve some spaces for us to meet there.

If you've been to VALLEY FAIR MALL, it lights up really nice at nite on the roof. Can anyone suggest a restaurant for dinner/drinks on Santa Row? There's so many choices but we need to make sure the restaurant can accomadate a large group say 10-30 just to be safe. Also since we'll be reserving, people that sign up this time "CANNOT FLAKE"...If they sign up...they are committed to being there.

For those of us interested in going to DAVE & BUSTERS or another place to hang out (suggestions appreciated) please list some ideas.

Possible Dates for July for MEET #3 -
1) July 16 (SATURDAY)
2) July 23 (SATURDAY)

How does this plan sound for now?
I want to start posting a new thread for this meet by Monday 6/13/05. This gives everyone a month to sign up.
We will have name tags for people this time.
I will probably have a few INFINITI items to raffle off.
Let me know whatcha guys think...

On another note:

NOR CAL G is open to "EVERYONE" who owns a G35 Coupe or SEDAN...!!!
You are automatically a member if you own/lease a G35 or have one on order.
Previous G35 owners and FUTURE G35 owners are welcomed and encouraged to join us. Our group is here to promote a "POSITIVE" attitude...!
Again we do not discriminate against age, race, or sex.

(PS)
Sponser Update: Serramonte Infiniti - The General Manager I was dealing with quit. so maybe Frontier Infiniti or the new Infiniti Dealership (COLISEUM) will sponsor our group...I'll keep everyone posted.

Talking That sounds great

Hey Bobby, that sounds like a great plan. Let's stick with this for now. We can save Dave & Busters for some other meet. But after everyone meets up at the top of the garage, can we at least parade up and down Santana Row?...I want to drive a little at least and show off. And then if some of us find parking, we'll park there. I think July 16th, 5pm-ish is good. The sooner the better, as I like to enjoy Santana Row in the sunshine as well, and the sunsets around 8pm. Yeh, and we might as well get a sponsor, since we're pretty much doing so much advertising for Infiniti, especially on Santana Row of all places. I see Lexus and Hummer advertising their cars there all the time. What stuff will they give us as a sponsor?...I'd love some nice accessories for everyone...like a car cover!!! I'm thinking the Infiniti dealership will have no parking space, dealers never have space. As far as restaurant suggestions, I think Blowfish Sushi is cool, but not much seating. So might as well pick a place with more seating and outdoor seating so we can see all the G's passing by. My suggestions: Rosie McCann's Irish Pub and Restaurant or the Village Cafe. Usually these places have more seating, not as crowded. Note, I've tried most the restaurants on the row, and the food isn't so great or filling for the expensive price.

G35 Invasion of Santana Row! Let's invade Santana Row and try to take up all the parking spots on the row itself, everyone walking and sitting around can spectate at our cars...it'll be called Infiniti Row when we're done.

Ok I am planning on driving down to Santa Row this SUNDAY 6/18 probably in the afternoon to check out where we'll meet on the roof, where we'll cruise, and restaurant ideas.

I'm gonna try to find a place where dinner will be in the range of $20.00 - $40.00 per person. Since we all own G35's, I think we call all spring for that amount. Is that ok with everyone? No RED ROBIN's this time...we're gonna have it in a nice sit down place hopefully with a private room for our group.

Heck, maybe I'll raffle off some $2.00 chuck for those 21 and over...

Freebies, not telling yet...i'll see what I can get. For those of you who has parts to sell or trade, this is a good time for you to let us know what you're selling or trading. This will be a first.
I will ask Kyle if he has any specials from his shop.

Don let me know if you wanna meet me @ Santana Row on Sunday...and anyone else who wants to help plan for this event is welcomed.

Bobby
