Newbie from UK

Hi All, I purchased my 2012 G37X about 2 years ago as a daily but I didn’t know how much fun they are!
Mine has got aftermarket intakes with Mishimoto hoses, a bespoke exhaust system, and V11 18” Wheels
I do want the Z1 exhaust, mine is only 2.25” but can’t justify the cost at the moment.
Ive just had to replace the rear subframe and I can’t get one in the UK, so we have fitted an alloy 350z one, modified the arms and she is back up and running, and will never rust again!
Here are a few pics:

Welcome to the community.

Love the wheels. I wasn't aware that Gs were sold in the UK and figured only Nissan 370GTs were available.

G’s in UK

Hi, yes there are a few, and they sell for not a lot of money.
More Coupe’s than Sedans
They do get hit with the higher road tax, nearly £800 a year, whereas it’s Jap equivalent, the Skyline 370GT is half that price, no logic at all!
I Love it though!

Out of my own curiosity, given your current modifications and those envisioned, how is the MOT with those?

In other words, is the car under a microscope for every little thing (like some jurisdictions here in the states) or does it depend "if you know a guy?"

Mot

Hi, the hardest part on MOT is emissions, so the original cats have to be back on for this.
Other than that the car flies through the MOT

I am guessing that some get through with no cats because “they know a guy”

Hardest part for me was everyone telling me the 350z rear subframe doesn’t fit, and it does!

Not the best car considering the cost of petrol in the UK... translates between $5 to $6k per gallon. However, I bet you're enjoying the heck out of it.

Somebody replaced your front grille with aftermarket, and painted your calipers. Very nice. A little odd though, seeing two layers of chrome trim one on top of another with that grille.

Cost close to that much here in CA :-)

I was in AZ last weekend and gas was over $1 less per gallon. Felt like I was back in the early 2000s.
