Clicking Noise when going from Park to Reverse

When I move from Park to Reverse the car will make a jerking and clicking noise only when popping it in reverse. After two more times the clicking and jerking will stop. Sounds like it’s coming from the driver side suspension.

anyone else had something similar?

There's a Technical Service Bulletin for the clicking issue: https://www.myg37.com/forums/tsb-tec...ear-axles.html

Note that it's harmless, just annoying. I had the bearing repacking done at the dealer a couple years ago, but noticed recently that the clicking is slowly returning.

The jerking is likely related to the idle being much higher when you first start the car (normal). If you let it return to normal at roughly 600rpm, the jerking will go away or be far less noticeable.

If it does not return to normal, then you may need to perform the Idle Air Volume Learning (Throttle Position Learning) procedure: https://www.myg37.com/forums/engine-...-rpm-idle.html
