HELP MY G37 keeps over heating 😩

Hey Guys I’m new here & I wanted to see if any of you lovely experts could help me get close to diagnosing my over heating issue. So I own an Infiniti G37 2009 with about 174,000 miles. I have recently changed my thermostat , fans , radiator cap & my lower heater radiator hose. Unfortunately when I’m idle my car is still overheating and I can’t seem to understand why. I pour water in my radiator and it slowly goes down. When idle my car sounds rough. It’s been doing this for the last few weeks . I’m kind of getting overwhelmed with the vehicle because I have to drive a far distance to get my daughters to school during early morning traffic and it always over heats after being idle during so many red lights from the commute . I’m nervous it could be the water pump cause that makes me want to just trade the vehicle in cause I heard the part is cheap but the work is expensive 😩 Well I hope you guys have time and the knowledge to help me & I appreciate it in advance ! Thanks guys .

If all you're putting in is water it wont be good. Water will boil off. There is a weep hole at the bottom in the front of the motor. If there is fluid dripping from that then your water pump is for sure going bad. I would check that first but make sure you are putting coolant in it and not just tap water may help a bit.

In addition to checking the weep hole for excessive coolant to determine if the water pump seal is going bad:

Have you tried doing a proper drain and fill (use coolant) following the instructions in one of the DIYs here on the community? Note that our cooling system in notorious for not being bled correctly, which will cause overheating issues. Spill free funnels work well for bleeding.
