Rattle under car at rear
Rattle under car at rear
Hey guys!
I’m new to this forum! Even though I’ve had my 2011 G37xs coupe for 5 years! Love my car!
Recently I’ve been hearing this rattle noise when I go over bumps at LOW speeds, even small cracks in the road… I hear them too!
I’m not a mechanic or expert but I’m your typical driveway warrior lol
- checked out the suspension! nothings loose
- checked all the heat shield, nothings rubbing
- checked the caliper, that’s not loose
- all bushings, endlinks are not worn or loose
So I’m at a total loss guys…please help!
update july 30 2022:
went to my mechanic, he said it was the brake shims. Took it back home, looked at the brakes it wasn’t that. Still no progress on the issue.

What's up, bro!
Recently got my 12" G37 everything was in shape and perfect except a rattle or type of screech sound, sometimes on startup/rolling but mostly when I was accelerating. I was a Lil scared for a week or so, thinking that something in my trans was messed up, although the car would drive perfect with the minor exception of the noise.
Today, after taking it to my Nissan Dealership for the first full-service check-up on the car. I let them know about the sound I was hearing, and a couple hours later, I got the online report that the shield on the backside of the rotary was rubbing on acceleration, causing the noise. Get a wrench or something and push the guard back a bit away from your rear rotor, If that helps.

This is definitely not the issue, not sure if you read my post…
