Hey guys! I’ve been on the forum lurking for quite a bit and finally decided to introduce myself! I have a 2009 g37S coupe AT that I bought in July of 2019. It’s been an amazing car and fun journey to explore its capabilities and give it some nice upgrades. I value this forum a lot as I use it for guidance and your guys’ expertise. I am from the Bay Area and you may have seen my car around! I’ll attach some pics! New sequential headlights and blacked out grille! Debadged and parked with fresh wash! Had to flex for the view 💪
Welcome. What are the mods you've been silently applying to this Coupe?
I see the oemassive headlights, which look so much better on the Coupe than the Sedan. Not sure why that is, but looks good. Seems you've painted your wheels and grille, and I think I'm seeing a long-tube intake hiding behind the grille. Clearly you're lowered, and have an aftermarket exhaust.
Thanks for the welcome! You are correct on all of those!
I have the Stillen gen3 intake, but I’ve replaced the filter with two larger K&N cone intakes. (Little more growl, not sure about power gains)
The headlights are actually a brand called “Axion” or something similar, $400 off of amazon. I believe they are the same just rebranded.
I’m sitting on some $600 Truhart coil overs, not too bad and they give it a nice drop.
Rear tires are 275/35/19 so a little wider with 20mm spacers. Michelin pilot A/S3+. Great tires but $600 for the rear set mounted. I have a Manzo eBay axleback which is one of those cheap ones. Sounds great! I also have a cheapo carbon fiber rear diffuser, $300 off eBay. Fitment is kind of ****ty but have to work with it. Also a few DIY stuff like graphite wheel painting that I did, and yellow akebono caliper painting. There’s still a ton of stuff I’m trying to get done!
Drilled rotors and yellow calipers... couldn't see that in the first pics. Looking pretty good. I like yellow calipers.
I see you debadged INFINITI, and painted the chrome trunk lip black. I really like that look on the coupe, sometimes more so than the big, flat OEM Coupe trunk spoiler.
Thanks! It’s been a process, but still much more to go. I’ve done a good amount of aesthetics, I’m trying to gear more into the performance now. I have Z1 HFC but haven’t installed them yet, too busy. Looking to get a setup similar to the 400hp kit and then most likely tuned by @AdminTuning. Brakes are by brake performance and they’ve been just great! I really like the look of the oem additional spoiler but not sure if it’s worth getting or trying something aftermarket like the duckbill.
