My names Paul. New here. I like long walks on the beach rock n roll and fast cars. Bought a used 2008 g37 6mt. Going to pick up a spare motor and 6 speed trans in 2 weeks($1000!). Been lurking here a while and have been reading a lot of build threads.. cool stuff.

What condition is your current drivetrain in that you're already stocking up on a spare?

Stock drivetrain is in good condition aside from a slipping clutch which will be going in tomorrow(z1 6puck, single mass flywheel, CSC elimination kit, rear main seal while the tranny is out) car has 130,000 miles full invidia exhaust, short ram intake, and i assume a tune since the car came with tuner cable installed in center console? . In all honesty I didnt want my first post to be "Im starting a twin turbo build", but that is the main logic behind the extra motor and trans. It will be a long slow process of accumulating parts. And the fact that i have a n/a running car will allow me to take my time.
I see doubters in my future.
