Virtually new G37s 6MT!

2008, 37K miles, loaded (no 4 wheel steering), immaculate inside and out, paint blemish free, interior virtually like new. Bought from Carmax for $19K + $1400 for a 6 year 100k mile warranty. I overpaid per “book value”, but look at the underside! I was skeptical when I first test drove this car, but I noticed it had clear plastic protectant over the entire front end.

I knew the previous owner (one owner per carfax) babied this car from the overall condition. After the purchase, I had a ppi done at Infiniti. They found all the service records since new and the car had been ridiculously well maintained, and there was no sign of the dreaded galley gasket failure.

They added that it was the nicest example they had ever seen, despite being 11 years old and there being Q60’s only a few years old. I’m thrilled. I have no garage so I spent just over $400 from covercraft to get the best protection I could afford. After reviewing the exhaust videos on the forum, I’ll start saving up for an ArkGrip system.

To preserve its condition it won’t be driven in rain or snow - probably little driving through the winter due to salt roads here in Maryland. Luckily it’s a third car so I can spare it harsh conditions. The stars and planets aligned for me to have the chance to buy this car so I’ll make the most of it and it’ll easily last another 11 years.

Wow, super clean 08 there! Welcome to the site and congrats on your new S coupe. As far as the oil passage gasket failing, not really any warning signs for that. An oil pressure gauge installed would give you a better idea over time, but there are many examples of older Gs with high miles still running strong. Hopefully yours will follow that path
My 09 has 100k miles and no issues w/ great oil pressure (knocking on a big piece of wood)

Great find! I bought my 08' G37S coupe in the exact same excellent condition last year with 27K miles but for $14,800 at a dealership in AK. Currently at 35k miles with zero issues, it's nice having a older G that was taken such great care of.

only now going back to review old posts. I love shifting for myself but I wish the transmission had the smoothness/precision of a Honda manual. Only other gripe is having the AC compressor necessarily turn on when I want to use recirculation mode. Other than that I love the car. I’ve installed an HKS Hi-Power catback exhaust and Eibach sway bars. Loving life now. I would’ve liked to have found an IPL in mint condition with low miles from a reputable dealer but if I had done that I’d probably still be looking. I hope you’re enjoying yours as much as I am mine.
