My New G37x Coupe

Obligatory Gas Pump Photo

Freshly detailed

Need spacers

Love the older front end

Dig the Rohanas

Just bought my first G37. It’s a 2010 G37x. Love this car! Currently sporting BC Racing Coilovers and a set of Rohana RC7s. Fresh from a Rupes date. Looking forward to a long relationship with this beauty!

Thanks!

So far, I've put on the Rohanas with new tires (19s) and the BC Racing Coilovers. Still working on getting the coilovers dialed in to my liking. Height is very close. Left side is a bit higher than right so may need to tweak a bit more but may wait until I get some spacers. Damping is about where I want it, too. I'm currently 8 clicks from soft front and back. Anything less and it gets too bouncy, and anything over 20 and it's so stiff you can feel every crack in the road. Definitely rides much stiffer with the coilovers compared to the stock (non sport) suspension, but not annoyingly so. Reminds me of the 335i w/ Sport Package and 19s I used to have about 5 years ago. In fact, this car reminds me a lot of that 335i.

Next up will probably be brakes, but I'm not sure if I want to do BBK or just stick with the stock ones which seem pretty adequate. Possibly exhaust after that, but I don't want any thing that drones. Not sure about engine work or a cold air intake. Living in Chicago, I need to keep it such that it will start / run in sub zero temps.

Biggest complaint I have with the car is the slow shifting 7AT. Pretty sure my '76 Nova (brown 2 door with plaid bench seats) shifted faster back in the day. Debating calling Infiniti with the VIN to see if the car has all the latest tranny firmware and getting it flashed if it doesn't. Does anybody make a reprogram for the tranny?

You echo pretty much everyone else regarding the 7AT.
