I used to own 370z stick and sold it few years ago. I'm looking for sedan and I thought G37 sedan sticks are perfect for me so I'm searching but these things are rare to find.
I've been looking at autotrader and different sites but man this things are hard to find within 500 miles of Orange county area in so cal. is G37 sedan with stick shift really rare?

Even the G37"S" sedans are hard to find, and finding one w/ a 6MT rarer still. I don't know the production numbers but I'd guess the S sedans are about 10-15% of all sedans produced, and the 6MT about 25% of the S models, so if that's in the ballpark that would mean about 5% or less of all sedans produced are 6MTs. That said, if you are diligent and don't mind expanding your search they are out there, might check our site for sale classifieds too as a much higher % of 6MT owners are here.

I had an 07 G35 6MT sdn and decided I wanted to upgrade to the G37s 6MT sdn in 2016. I was in the same boat as you, I couldn't find anything given the unicorn-ness of the car.

Being in Chicago, it's even harder to find a RWD 6spd sdn. I ended up scouring Autotrader and found a car in Redwood City, CA. As luck would have it the stars lined up and I was out in SF for work - I checked out the car, it was pristine so I bought it and shipped it back to Chicago.

Expand ur search to outter state. Yes they're rare but u should find one. Shipping shouldn't cost much. But we'll worth it the joy of manual driving is awesome n manly

 

The local dealers don't even have a red sport 400 rwd only model to look at or test drive. Just the awd.

 

Yea I Joined back then cuz I was looking at 6MT G but I got good deal on 370Z so I bought Z. Sold Z few years ago and trying to get G now. 6MT sedan is really rare. Even though I filter transmission as "manual" on autotrader when I click pix, they are not manual lol. I guess I really have to look other states and classified section. Thank you guys.

 

Let me put it this way....I searched for a 2010-2013 with less than 70k miles for about 6 months and found exactly four sedans that were worth buying (all the others either had way too many miles, or had something wrong with them or were in Hawaii! I live in the SE US and found two in California, one too many $$, one previously wrecked. Once in OK that sold before I could get there and one in VA and they almost sold it before I could get there. So I'd say yeah, pretty rare.

 

Oh, and I found a ton of people that think paddle shifters = manual transmission!

 

^^So if you were able to find one locally that met your criteria, would you be willing to pay a premium for it? Significant premium - such as several thousand dollars more?

 

wow in hawaii? thats rarer than rare. i paid a premium for mine had to get it shipped but gave the dealer fair kbb offer and i paid for shipping lol but it had to be a manual. none of that fake **** for me.

 

Arriving to Chicago from Cali...looking back at this, I'm not sure why my wife was onboard with the idea... I'm a lucky man.

I still have about 100K AA miles remaining. One of these days will probably redeem them for a fly'n'buy.

 

Well..given the fact that I had to rent a 1 way car, have a hotel room and several meals out, plus a few tanks of gas ....$1k wouldn't be that far off.

 

I have a feeling that when the time comes to sell my G, it's not going to be hard to find a private buyer
