I was left car-less after my Hyundai Sonata limited was flooded during hurricane Harvey, so like many other Houstonians, I've been shopping for a new (used) car. I drove, and really liked several G37's and ended up ordering a 2012 G37 Journey from Carmax today. It's coming from another location and should be here this next week. This will be a nice upgrade from my Sonata, which I liked but really lacked in HP.
Nice to have you here Sean, sorry to hear of your flood damage, hopefully that was your only item affected. Congrats on the new G, you'll be happy in short order
Brad
Pretty cool fact, Carmaxx bought 3 cars from our dealreships as the floods were happening. They stocked up on all different kinds of cars to provide for people down in Texas. They had massive trucks in the area just picking stuff up going from dealer to dealer. Welcome to the club man, i'm new myself. Its a worlds difference getting into one of these vs. a Hyundai.
Have done a couple minor upgrades. Installed replacement ***** for the radio and A/C for the chrome look *****. Also installed a ProClips phone mount and changed all the interior lights out with LED's.
I've had the same ***** for a year or two now, a bunch of people bought those when we found out they'd work for cheap. I couldn't justify spending $100+ getting the Carsmo ***** to Canada when these are 80% as good for 5% of the price. There's a black version of these that works too but didn't fit very well. How are you planning on doing the AUX cord?
To be honest, I'm not sure how the cord will be done. I had to go to three different installers though before I found one that said they could get the parts to do the install. I'll ask them to put the input somewhere near my cell phone mount, but other than that, I'm not sure how it will be done. He wasn't sure if he would have to use my AUX (XM) button or one of the ones for the CD player. Either way, I don't use XM or CD...just want to be able to use my phone for podcasts, music and navigation through the stereo.
