I've been keeping eye out for G37's for sale lately, just saw a 2014 "G37/Q60" listed. It's a G37 at first look, but with the Q60S and AWD badges instead.

Turns out there are a slew of G37's from '14-'15 marked as Q60's. Completely different from the actual new Q60 body style. WTF Nissan?

Are these cars legit, mechanically and everything? Any concerns or reasons you wouldn't buy one?

This is all I could find:

2013 INFINITI G37 COUPE VS 2014 INFINITI Q60

The new (2014) Q60 takes a lot, if not everything from the 2013 G37. The Q60 still has the 3.7 DOHC 24-valve 6 cylinder engine producing 330 horsepower and 270 foot-lbs of torque. All this power continues to be put through a 7-speed automatic transmission, but a 6-speed standard gearbox is available for the die-hard enthusiast.
Everything else, from body to chassis to engine, has stayed the same. Here are the exact, official changes:

But I still don't get why they did that, putting a new badge on and old car, then releasing the new one a few years later.

        Thought someone here might know.

Hey man, don't get why people gotta give attitude but it's just how Infiniti decided to introduce that the G series would become the Q series to continue their Sport Luxury line.

Thanks, just checking if there were any weird drawbacks or downgrades to the 14-15 Q60's before hand.

Figured if there was anything worth knowing, the blokes here would know it.

Yeah, it was just the new guy in charge, he wanted a fresh start on how the Infiniti brand was named throughout the lineup, it was a mess IMO, but it is what it is.
