My first G

Just got my first G37 coupe. Have only put on new rotors and pads thus far. Looking at replacing chrome spoiler lip with full rear spoiler. Any recommendations on how to get a legit oem spoilers with installation without breaking the bank. Thanks in advance.

Nice upgrade man! Check out the vendors section for deals on the duckbill overlay for the trunk (I'm guessing that's the chrome spoiler lip you're referring to). They will have the most competitive prices and deals. Install is easy from what I've seen from others - DIY kind of thing. Or, you could go the route a lot of other members have gone and vinyl wrap the lip. Do it yourself and you're looking at 30-50 bucks in material? Pretty easy too since you can remove the chrome spoiler and work it un-attached. Highly recommend it! Brad (blnewt ) should drop in to greet you and will direct you to the DIY he did.

Welcome to the site, congrats on your clean coupe. Check ebay for the spoiler, quite a few legit oem ones there that are typically sold by Infiniti dealers' online sites. Just be sure to confirm it's oem. And check places like www.discountinfinitiparts.com accessory catalog, might find a deal depending on your year and color.

congrats on the new car! Very nice! I'm curious the rotors that you purchased. I see that they are slotted and drilled through. WHo makes those rotors and where did you get them? Do you mind if I asked what you paid for them? Thanks!

Daryn67, they are POWER STOP K2862 (comes as a full set) and I paid $370 after shipping and after a discount from rockauto. They also had a $30 rebate which I have not received yet but should ultimately knock the price down to $340. I did the install myself so that's total cost. See below for a before and after of one of the rear rotors.

They look great! Do you have to use a certain kind of brake pad with these rotors? I know brimbo break pads are recommended for my g37s convertible with standard rotors.

So my car is an g37x and came with base brake system, so o wanted to upgrade without spending thousands. You should go to Power Stop | Extreme Performance Brake Systems and put in your exact model to see what package works with your car. The pads are included with the kit.
