Go for it or no?

Hey all! I made a thread not too long ago asking if the g37 seemed like the right car for me. I decided it is! I've been waiting for one to pop up with the sport trim and automatic. Two did at a used car dealership. Here's the link to a 2014 Q60s I'd be interested in getting. It's priced under 23k before other fees and has less than 38k miles. That price seems too solid compared to other dealerships for a similar trim. I'm asking for the carfax report through email because it doesn't show for that one in particular. Does anything seem off about it or is that the general price for one like that? I did a little reading and I think they purchase low mile vehicles from auctions after people's leases are up or whatnot.

Unfortunately the mechanic from yourmechanic.com couldn't make it to do my PPI today due to the bridge collapse in ATL. I rescheduled for tomorrow.

Whatcha guys think about this one?

I've learned not to even bother with used car dealerships. While some are honest, they can often be quite deceptive (unless they're a big company like carmax). Even though they look good in pictures, you might find something odd up close in person. I had one of these experiences. The salespeople use tricky sales tactics and I was instantly turned off. Brought it to an Infiniti dealer for a final PPI and they uncovered a lot just by looking at it. Definitely go take a closer look, that won't hurt. But bring someone knowledgeable with you or get a PPI.

I paid 3k more for my with the same millage when I bought it few years ago. I also dont have sun roof, back up sensor, nav. 19" wheels. Seems like a very good deal.

As far as its running condition, yeah trusted mechanic would be good option to bring it along.

the93owner: You have a good point. I purchased my last vehicle CPO from a Mazda dealership. Everything went smooth asides from me being so excited and purchasing unnecessary add ons in the financing office. This would be my first time purchasing from a used dealership. I'll 100% be using a mechanic to run a PPI on it. That's not a bad idea of bringing it to an actual Infiniti dealer. Closest one to this one is roughly 16 miles. I can ask if they'd be willing to rather than bring a mechanic in person.

Stachuu: Cool good info. Thank you. I'll definitely be bringing a mechanic to check it out. Let's see what happens!

Ask for carfax and autocheck. I bought a used car and while carfax was clean autocheck showed an accident not yet showing the accident.

But she looks good. Definitely check her out!!
Price is perfect.

I still didn't get a carfax report but on cargurus it shows it has one owner and... one accident. D'aw. I guess that's why the price was so good. There's another on CarMax very similar for 25k before taxes/fees. It's a 2013 g37s.

Is there a difference between a "sport trim" and "sport package" for automatic coupes? This one on CarMax is listed as a journey but has a "sport package". I see the red "S" by the G37, paddle shifters and seat bolsters. However do they come with the bbk and quicker steering ratio too? Here's the vehicle on carmax:

Thanks guys.

Infiniti made it extra confusing regarding the sport editions~

ALL 6MT coupes & sedans are Sports (with all the sport pkg goodies)

ALL Automatic RWD Coupes & Sedans with the true sport package are listed as Journey model w/ Sport pkg.

Only the AWD Coupe X"S" has the big brakes and most of teh sport features

The AWD Sedan X"S" has just teh sport appearance pkg, no big brakes

So in short, the model you linked in the last post IS the true Sport pkg. w/ the big brakes, shift paddles, thigh bolstered seat, quick ratio steering, Limited Slip diff, etc.
Easy to ID, it will have the red S, and these~

Sweet! Thanks for the clarification man. That certainly is confusing! Well, it looks clean online. I'll ask them more about the car when I request a transfer. I think I'm sold on this guy. I just the seats could be all black rather than graphite grey. NBD though. I noticed most if not all 2013 Journeys all had grey seats only? No black? Maybe that's just what I saw when I was car browsing.
