Hello Everyone,

I just purchased my 2011 G37 SPORT coupe edition 2 weeks ago. Loving every second of it!

Color is Blue Slate, interior is black with aluminum trim. 74k miles only paid 18k. It's literally like-new inside. It came with a Stillen Gen 3 intake. Nice little extra.

She will serve me as my daily driver. My weekend warrior is a 1998 Supra Turbo 6 speed. I do plan on modding the G though for sure. Might as well keep me fun. My previous daily driver was a 2002 BMW M3 and maintenance on that thing is unbearable so I sold it.

I have a few questions though:

-The gas tank hole does not have that flap? It was strange to me seeing the hole wide open. Also in addition, the gas pump would "click" off as I was filling it, so I had to hold the trigger down to pump gas...with fear of it overfilling. I found that to be really weird. I usually leave the lever on and let it be.

-My gas mileage is horrible! According to my status, a full tank should last 200 miles. This does not seem right for a 20 gal tank. Should give me at least 300 miles. Could it be my spark plugs or dirty injectors, or both?

-Are the brake pads visible for Sport calipers? Do the calipers sit that close to the rotors? It seems a little odd to me. I fear I may need new brake pads.

These are pretty much my issues right now. I also want to upgrade to the OEM wing with 3rd brake light. I will see if there's a tutorial for this.

-Will

Welcome to the site Will, congrats on your new G and also your other rides, nice taste

Nope, gas filler is open, you may have a vent problem, could also be a sensitive station pump.

Check you mileage manually, just fill up and check your mileage, then run it down and check your mileage w/ a calculator, the onscreen one can be off quite a bit in some cases. It will also reflect how the car has been driven, if it's been off to the races it will calculate the current mpg for the whole tank much lower than if the car has been driven easy highway cruising.

The Akebono calipers are pretty fat vs. most BBK sets and clearance at the wheels spokes is pretty close for many wheels. Pull a wheel to check pad thickness, they are simple to change too.

Now go enjoy that car! And post pics of all your rides when you have time, that Supra sounds sweet!

Welcome to the forum! I second pictures of both rides, as I'm curious to see what you have done to the Supra.

What are your plans for the daily?

Here's some pics of a friends' Supra, putting about 800hp to the wheels IIRC.

Hi Everyone. Sorry for the late reply. I will take better pics soon.

For now:

That red Supra looks familiar. Might have seen it at SIV. Definitely looks like it's pushing some numbers!

Thank you for the information Brad!

Looking to swap to the OEM wing with 3rd brake light ASAP...but I cannot find a thread on it :\. I want OEM not ebay..unless the quality and fitment is acceptable and with the brake light. The metal spoiler seems pretty awkward lol.

Will,
Pair of great looking coupes there for sure!
Definitely source a true oem spoiler, the fit & color match will be spot-on. There are true oem ones on ebay quite often, just gotta watch out for the "oem TYPE" listings.

Also many Infiniti dealers have online part stores, just check their accessory catalogs and every once in a while they have a color that's not moving and they cut the prices pretty deep.
Here's one such store~the header on teh page says "Rear d ick Spoiler" so hoping that's not the case
