Finally posting and toasting to my G

Hello all,
Ive had my 2009 G for a few years now and really like it.

Im interested in a new look to my ride; from the wheels to the bumpers. Its a 4dr base model, silver with 19s.

Very much looking forward to coming events and get your thoughts on some ideas on my new look. Will be posting later.

Ciao for now..

Thank you to all responded, including CARID, didnt realize you were a sponsor/contributor.

Well, I posted pics in my albums, pics that caught my eye, not sure if there is any legal issue of posting them from other sites, please let me know and I'll remove. It gives you/me and idea what Im looking for to upgrade.
1. Rear roof fin
2. Cool wheels, colors, or keep my cost down and use the 19s I have. Attempted to digitally color them like the ferrari wheels which are so cool. Maybe alotta work though.
3. Rear bumper...not sure how to the plates and lights installed.
4. Skirts
5. Front bumper 'essence' looks cool, need to look at a few more choices.

Other than that, looking for an honest/fair auto maint. shops in south OC..dealers too expensive. Also, once I choose the above ...bumpers, etc, need a few recommended places for the mods that is fair/honest/not expensive.

If you have a shop that does the chrome plating process I'd contact them and find out how they would want the wheels prepped, probably just a bead blasting then take them to get plated.
Personally I'd rather have them powder coated, there's so many choices in powdercoat colors that would look really nice on your G.

Thanks for quick reply. Unfortunately, today I went to a place today and only chrome, they quoted $300 a wheel. So, Im thinking of sanding the rim my self, get it prepped for painting. I came across 2 ways: 1: Found a youtube that compared 16 aerosols and in the end identified the 2 best: SPAZ STIX MIRROR CHROME & VHT METAL PLATE.
2: DIY Chrome Kit...for less than $100 that is much easier and simpler process. Your thoughts?

No way to replicate chrome plating w/ spray paint, it's a completely different process. You can get bright silver finish but not the mirror like shine and hardness that the plating process will accomplish. I'd give a good browse of this thread and see what colors/finishes are available w/ powdercoating, like I said previously, it's pretty awesome!

The youtube makes it look like it can be done using spray, even the DIY Kit is so convincing.

I'll ask for an estimate on powder coat. Unfortunately they said it can only be one color and Im interesed in dual color.

I posted really cool rims in my profile album for color combinations. What Im looking for specifically is continue to use the 19s with chrome look (or close to it) with blue 5spoke; see example Ive done with paintshop in the RIMs album...last page I think.

I'm not familiar w/ that youtube DIY, worst case is you don't like it and your out some time and a hundred bucks, but it may turn out exactly as you hope it will and then it's a big win, so that's your call. There are a lot of new spray paints on the market and who knows, maybe they do have a product that can replicate chrome much better than in the past????

True dat, who knows the outcome...Im in no hurry. I just had the tires removed from the wheels, saving lots of time on taping. Not sure at this moment which choice below...but chemical chroming looks enticingly easier and better results...

So, here's the link describing the 2 top chrome spray paints out of 16 compared:

Here's the 2nd way using combination chemicals to chrome: DIY Chrome Kit:
