Just bought a G37!
Hello everyone! Just purchased a 2008 G37S Coupe 6 speed. It took me months to find one with a manual trans, low miles, and a fair price but the wait was WELL worth it.
Previously had a 2014 Mustang V6 with the performance package ordered right from the factory which I absolutely loved but due to a couple bad decisions I had to sell it last year. I wanted something with similar performance at a decent cost so I looked at 335s, speed3s, gtis, genesis coupes, 370s and g37s. Finding the right car in manual was absolutely brutal. Luckily I hunted cargurus every single day looking for new postings. Inquired about a few differents cars here or there, and they had either sold it or I decided I wasn't crazy about and kept looking. Carmax actually transferred a speed3 I had the full intention of buying but they claimed they had trouble getting the title among other things and basically didn't contact me for three weeks so clearly that worked out for the better. I had to drove 50ish miles to my g37 but man, what an amazing car.
It is the absolute all around best car I've ever driven. Super fast, relatively luxurious, and timeless as far the interior and exterior styling. I fall in love everytime I get in it and or even think about it. Granted, it's my second day of owning it which could have something to do with it but still. I'm still familiarizing myself with what I got but I think I have a pretty base model ie. no nav. I do have a moonroof and bose which seems as though it was standard? Either way it has everything I could ask for and more. The last owner took EXCELLENT care of it and you can tell he loved it. Super clean, minimal marks / scratches, and just in perfect shape. 66k for an 08 seems pretty low. The dealer actually told me he traded my car in and bought a brand new Q60 so it's safe to say he loves Infiniti.
In conclusion, I'm in love and can't wait to pour over the site and see what I can uncover. I doubt I'll modify anything power related as the install for the intakes looks kinda involved and the exhaust is perfect as is imo. I'm more so interested to see what people have done styling/functionality wise to their cars. Sorry for typing a book but I'm happy to be a part of the G37 family!

Excellent score man. I know what you mean about looking for a manual. I just about gave up until I lucked out on mine. Had it about 6 months now and still love it. Had a 07 G35s before and it was incredibly reliable. Put 130k on it. Welcome to the family.

Welcome! I have had mine for two weeks, so I know the feeling well. I'm the same, as of right now I don't plan on doing any power mods for a while. I have an x so the first thing I'm going to do is the paddle **** kit install (only the s models come with them stock) and I have ordered a red GTR start button that I can't wait to install.
I know a popular mod for these cars is the grounding kit. From what I've read it cleans up the audio and speeds up shifts a little bit for under 50 bucks.
