She's a beauty!! The color is gorgeous!

6MT or 7AT?

She must have been a garage queen with so few miles.

Enjoy!

P.S. Power......what power?

Coming from pretty much any almost-20-yo car will be a huge upgrade in every aspect. While the verts aren't fast, they are definitely quick. Definitely quick enough for some healthy and mostly legal fun.
And BT connection in this car is rather crappy. It works .. eventually .. but slow to connect, can be a pain to pair to, etc.
@OCMD - rent a newer car with BT in it and see the difference. Even in my toyota it's an instant connection and a lot of features/apps come straight from the phone. Go back to the vert is a pain in that aspect.

I don't mean to thread jack, but can I get more info on this:

"prior to 2012 there's an inferior oil gallery gasket that costs upwards of $2k to R&R"

I bought a 2011 in November and would love to know what the effects of this are

GET A WARRANTY ON IT NOW!! The verts are expensive to fix!! I've had mine for 2 years and it's been in the shop 3 times. The car itself is great but the top is a pain! Mine has leaked since I bought it and yesterday one of the cords snapped on the headliner. The fabric headliner is $1800 just for the part!! I have a real love/hate relationship with this car!

I did get the extended warranty thru Infinit, thru Aug 2021. I figure it was worth the 2k if the roof goes.....(when???)

So why won't my roof retract (go down)???? It worked flawlessly my first week. Could it be because it is below freezing today? Yikes....problem right off the bat? Or operator error? Got the warning "trunk open." So I shut the trunk. Still won't open. Then I did the "re-set" in the owner's manual. Then is started to open, but wouldn't complete the opening. But it did "shut." Guess I'm going to a dealer soon and I don't even have my MD tags on it yet! Unless someone can tell me what I am doing wrong. Again, it worked flawlessly last week.

Sorry to hear of your issues already and too bad on yours too Lashk, hopefully the dealer can get it ironed out or explain the procedure if it's something you're doing.
G/L and keep us posted

Eek. I think something in the manual did say that it won't open below certain temps, but I don't remember what it was exactly.
From other posts I did notice that if you start opening it while something else is preventing it (trunk, windows), then it'll get messed up and will need a reset. Some people were able to fix it with a full cycle, but doesn't seem to always work.

Good luck and keep us updated on the resolution.

Sorry for the delay in replying, 3 deaths recently in the fam and friend zone. Anyway, I am an idiot. I take the car to the dealer. Treated great "Here is your loaner" and I head back to my office. Leave office in 90 minutes and receive a call "your car is ready and you will slap yourself." WTF? Turns out the wheel lug nut lock fell out of it's storage bag, and found its resting place in some sort of support hole. The sensors would not let rook operate. What a dumbass. Better yet, what a relief. Top has worked flawlessly. I love this car and have already put 1500 miles on it, taking me over the 16000 mile mark. Quick question, is there something I can rub or spray onto the rubber molding that is visible when the top is down? I want to keep it as fresh and water resistant as possible, but don't want to put the wrong type product on it. You know, keep it pliable, etc. Thanks!

Pshew! Great news!

I just bought some 303 rubber conditioner - read a lot of good things about it - going to give it a go within the next couple of weekends.

Thanks for checking in, and glad it was a simple problem, and sorry about your family loss, best wishes though that.
