black box screwed to plastic cover

black box screwed to plastic cover

im doing my first oil change on the new car and when i was removing the plastic cover to get to the oil pan there is a black box screwed into it. one wire is not connected and the other is being fed somewhere into the car im trying to figure out what it isblack box screwed to plastic cover-img_0504.jpg

Looks like a radar detector. Is there a device inside the car?
The wire being fed into the car is probably going to the fuse box.

im guessing it was from the previous owner he must have taken the device out and left that in there i purchased the car from the infiniti dealer by me. any guess what model detector it goes with?

Google shows Attowave, a company based in Korea. Never heard of them, so they must be sub-par?

It's a sensor for a K40 radar detector/laser jammer.

get rid of it... k40 was about the worst detector ive had.. too sensitive
